20x20 Solo Art Show
Jan 17 to Feb 16, 2009

SHOW STATEMENT

Sometimes when making art it feels like I work in a small cave, drawing with charcoal on the walls. Even if the cave is a website.

For a few years I've been doing some larger work (drawing/painting) that very few people have seen. It started off as a vague idea of something fun to do but as time when on, a world of its own was developed. The characters have come to life and the environment has been made real.

The process of creating the 20x20 work has pushed me to go further with what my art could be. Small sketches and drawings are great and fun to do but spending months and years on a project gives me a broader understanding of the world and its meaning.
